I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to own several A-P telescopes - from the very smallest to the largest. The 10" Mak-Cas (shown here in my downtown Buffalo, NY backyard) is a superbly crafted instrument. My location poses challenges year round for high resolution planetary imaging but the unique mechanical design of this scope allows me to work on almost any clear night regardless of temperature. The superb optical quality ensures that the detail in my images will be limited only by the steadiness of the atmosphere and the laws of physics. Observing the moon and planets visually on a night when the 10" Mak-Cas is kissed with good seeing is an experience not soon forgotten.
