How to Order

If you are a U.S. customer, you may place an order online using the shopping cart feature in on our price list.

We do not offer online ordering for international customers at this time. If you wish to place an order, please call or send a completed Order Form (PDF format) by fax or mail.

You may send an e-mail, however DO NOT include your credit card number. Include your complete shipping address (indicate if it is a residential or business address), work and home phone numbers and e-mail address. NEVER include your credit card number in an e-mail. Either call us or we will call you to obtain your credit card number and billing address. For international orders, we require a legible fax showing both sides of the credit card.

All orders will be confirmed by return mail.

Shipment

In Stock Parts and Accessories

Parts and accessories that are in stock will typically ship within 1 to 5 business days from the receipt of the order and payment. There may be brief durations in which orders will have a longer delay. This will happen when a production run of scopes or mounts is available for shipment. We try to ship all orders chronologically, therefore the scope or mount order being filled as a production run is being completed would have priority over an accessory order received at a later date.

Telescopes and Mounts

When we plan our production schedule, we estimate the time of completion for our various telescopes and mounts. Your order date will determine your place within the production run and the corresponding delivery date. Please understand that these dates are estimates. It is difficult to plan 12-18 months of production with great accuracy. It is not unusual for shipments to be delayed, but many customers can also attest that orders can also be finished earlier than the original estimate.

The estimated shipment of your telescope and mount may differ due to the differences in these production schedules. In fact, you may not be able to order one when you order the other. As a result, we are unable to guarantee delivery of these items at the same time. When the telescope or mount is completed, we will contact you to schedule the shipment of that item. Having said that, we will do our best to accommodate you, if we can. For instance, if we are assembling refractors with deliveries scheduled over a 3 month period and your order is at the beginning of the production run, we can delay shipment of your order until the end of the run, if that corresponds more closely to the completion of your mount. However, when the production run is complete and your refractor is ready, we must ship it, even if your mount is not complete.

When you order accessories with your telescope or mount, we can ship them right away if you wish. We recommend this if you can use them with your present telescope. However, if you cannot use the items, we recommend that we ship them with your telescope or mount. Otherwise, if we ship accessories to you and you later find that you must cancel your order, you will have accessories that you cannot use. Also, you may find that your needs change and you wish to revise the accessories. This is difficult to do if we have already shipped them to you.

Cancellations

Customers may cancel their orders at any time for a full, prompt refund. Please send your request in writing for our records. Please note that if you make your payment via credit card and cancel your order at a later date, the refund will be applied as a credit to that same card. If the refund payment requires a bank draft in another currency, we will deduct the cost of the bank draft or wire transfer.

Returns

We guarantee that you will be delighted with your purchase. A return authorization is required. If you are not satisfied with any item, please return it to us in original condition, shipping prepaid, within 30 days after delivery. We will either correct any problems, replace the item or issue a refund. Assuming that the item is in original condition, the full amount will be refunded less the original shipping costs.  Items that are special order or modified will have different terms.  Please check before ordering.

Coatings

We apply high-quality, multi-layer, anti-reflection coatings, however all coatings are subject to damage as a result of abrasive dust and excessive or improper cleaning. Special care is required to maintain the effectiveness and appearance of the coatings. Consequently, we regret that we cannot provide any kind of guarantee for the coatings.
